Different between Sunni and Shi’ah

目前全世界的穆斯林主要分屬於什葉派（Shi’ah）與遜尼派（Sunni）兩大派別。其中什葉派佔10%，遜尼派佔90%。除伊朗、伊拉克及巴林等少數國家外，大都為遜尼派。穆罕默德過世後，由於沒有指定繼承人，因此對繼承人該由何者擔任產生爭論。其中主張擁護穆罕默德姪兒兼女婿阿里及其後裔為「哈里發」者（執掌政教大權者，原意為代理者、繼任人），後來形成「什葉派」。而主張經由協商和共識而選舉哈里發者，則形成遜尼派。
Now the world Muslin believe in Shi’ah and Sunni, Shi’ah is about 10%, Sunni is about 90%, expect Iran, Iraq, Bahrain, most of people believe in Sunni. It is because after Muhammad passed away, didn’t assign an heir, so lots of Muslin fight about the heir who will be, the Shi’ah believe must be child from Muhammad, then the Sunni believe should be consult and discuss with each other.
